U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that he may reduce American support for Ukraine.
In an interview with NBC last night, Trump mentioned that he plans to push for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He emphasized his desire for an immediate resolution to the conflict and stated that he would work to facilitate discussions aimed at achieving a ceasefire.
Trump expressed concerns about the level of financial aid the U.S. provides to Ukraine, suggesting that such contributions place undue pressure on other nations to follow suit.
Since the conflict began in 2022, the U.S. has contributed approximately $131.36 billion in support to Ukraine, including both military and financial aid. Of this amount, $90 billion has been allocated as direct financial assistance.
