4, December 2024, Addis Ababa Representatives from the regional justice offices and courts in Afar, Amhara, Tigray, and Somalia received equipment, including laptops, desktop computers, and printers, from U.S. Ambassador Ervin Massinga, who spoke on behalf of the U.S. Government.
The equipment is intended to greatly increase the effectiveness of the courts in Ethiopia’s Afar, Amhara, Tigray, and Somali regions. In areas affected by conflict, where numerous facilities were destroyed and new equipment is desperately needed to resume operations, the equipment is especially important.
This program is in line with a cooperative agreement between the Ethiopian and U.S. governments that supports the rule of law and the justice sector.
