Addis Ababa, November 30, 2024 – Ethiopian Airlines has resumed its passenger flight service to Monrovia, Liberia, marking the end of a COVID-19-related disruption. The first flight took off this morning, bringing back essential air travel between the two nations.
The inaugural flight ceremony was attended by high-profile figures, including Liberia’s Transport Minister, Sirleaf Tyler, Liberian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Louise Sharene, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tassew, and other notable guests.
With flights now operating three times a week, Ethiopian Airlines aims to enhance connectivity, promote economic growth, and foster stronger people-to-people relationships between Ethiopia and Liberia.
