Ethiopia and the Czech Republic have signed a series of agreements aimed at enhancing their bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, welcomed Czech Republic’s Deputy Prime Minister, Marian Jurečka, during a meeting at his office to discuss deepening relations. Deputy Prime Minister Demeke expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to advancing collaboration with the Czech Republic in multiple areas of mutual interest.
Deputy Prime Minister Jurečka praised Ethiopia’s ongoing development initiatives and highlighted his government’s interest in strengthening cooperation, particularly in the fields of tourism and wildlife conservation.
Following the discussions, the two leaders oversaw the signing of agreements to facilitate joint efforts in tourism development and other areas. These agreements were signed by Ethiopia’s Minister of Finance, Semereta Sewasew, and the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Miroslav Kosek.
Additionally, a tourism development partnership agreement was signed to promote Ethiopia’s rich cultural and historical heritage. This agreement was finalized by Ethiopia’s Minister of Tourism, Salamawit Kassa, and Dr. Michal Lukeš, Director of the Czech National Museum.
The agreements are expected to deepen ties between the two nations and contribute to their shared development goals.
