AIIB President Explores Collaboration Opportunities with Ethiopian Airlines

Addis Ababa, November 30, 2024 – The President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Jin Liqun, held constructive discussions with Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew and the airline’s executive management team earlier today.

The dialogue focused on exploring areas of collaboration, aligning with the shared vision of fostering innovation and infrastructure development in aviation.

As part of the visit, Jin Liqun and his delegation toured Ethiopian Airlines’ cutting-edge facilities, which highlight the airline’s commitment to maintaining its position as a leader in global aviation excellence.

In a statement shared on social media, Ethiopian Airlines described the discussions and facility visit as a “significant milestone” in enhancing mutual cooperation.

“We deeply value this opportunity to share our vision and identify ways to collaborate in pursuit of common objectives,” the airline noted.

The visit underscores the potential for strategic partnerships aimed at advancing the aviation industry in Africa and beyond.
